The ARCTIC Freezer 7 X is a compact CPU cooler with a 92 mm fan. It is compatible with common Intel® and AMD® sockets. It benefits from an improved heat sink design and a revised heat pipe layout. In connection with the fan, which is optimized for high static pressure, ARCTIC was able to significantly improve the Freezer 7 X's cooling performance again.
The Freezer 7 X is compatible with many current desktop sockets from Intel and AMD. By using the mounting frame, simple installation is possible even without removing the mainboard.
The pre-applied, very powerful MX-2 thermal paste ensures quick and clean assembly.
The Freezer 7 X uses a fan motor newly developed by ARCTIC. This works quieter and more efficiently, so that the temperature of the coils is 20 ° C lower than with conventional motors. This increases the lifespan of the fans considerably, which is why ARCTIC grants a warranty period of 6 years for the Freezer 7 X.
The Direct Touch Heatpipes on the Freezer 7 X and an optimized design of the 44 cooling fins together ensure that the heat from the CPU can be ideally removed and released into the air.
The fan motor built into the Freezer 7 X not only works quieter at maximum speed, but is also much more efficient. The power consumption was reduced from 0.25 A to 0.07 A, which corresponds to an effective saving of 72% in power consumption. The volume could be reduced by 40%, so that the Freezer 7 X is whisper quiet at maximum speed with 0.3 sone.
The ARCTIC Freezer 7 X sets new standards in the field of cooling. Compared to the predecessor, an increase in performance of almost 10% could be tested. The thermal resistance stands for the absolute performance of a CPU cooler by specifying the temperature rise per power unit. It also shows the cooling capacity independent of the processor and is the more accurate alternative to a TDP specification.
The fan of the Freezer 7 X has been optimized on the basis of the P-fan series, which is why it benefits from all advantages:
• High static pressure for improved cooling performance
• Extended speed range
• Lower power consumption
• Less vibration
• PWM for synchronous fan control
Thanks to a combination of alloy and lubricant developed in Germany, the friction within the bearing is reduced and greater efficiency is achieved. In this way, less heat is generated, there is less bearing noise and the life of the fan is extended.
The Freezer 7 X uses Direct Touch Heatpipes. The heat to be dissipated is thus transferred directly to the heat pipes without a further layer of material and transported by them into the heat sink.
